Questions & answers

Do I need to leave the house during a treatment?

For inside treatments, plan to be out for a few hours until sprayed surfaces are dry. Your technician will tell you exactly how long, depending on the products used. Outside-only treatments usually don't need you to leave.

Is it safe for kids and pets?

All products are registered for use in Australia and applied by a licensed technician following the label directions. We'll tell you how to prepare, such as keeping kids and pets away from treated areas until they're dry and covering fish tanks. Let us know about pets, pregnancy, asthma or allergies when you book.

How do I prepare for a general pest treatment?

Clear kitchen benches and the floor along skirting boards, empty the cupboard under the sink, and put pet bowls and toys away. We'll text the day before with a short checklist.

How does the 3-month guarantee work?

If cockroaches, spiders or ants come back inside within 3 months of a general pest treatment, contact us and we'll re-treat free. It doesn't cover new pest types or areas that weren't part of the booking.

Do you provide a certificate for my real estate agent?

Yes. End-of-lease treatments include a tax invoice and treatment certificate showing the address, date and treatment, which is what agents usually ask for.

How long does a treatment take?

Most general pest treatments take 45 to 90 minutes depending on the size of the property. Termite inspections take 1 to 2 hours plus the written report.

How do I pay?

After the treatment, by card, tap or PayID. There's nothing to pay when you book.

Are your technicians licensed and insured?

Yes. Treatments are carried out by licensed pest management technicians, and Pest Hero holds public liability insurance.
